Government Relations Manager​

Kaz Zaidi is a skilled strategist and government affairs professional who leads state lobbying and political strategy at Espousal Strategies. With more than 15 years of experience in public policy, legislative affairs, and community engagement, Kaz helps clients navigate Oregon’s political landscape and advance policies that promote opportunity and shared prosperity.

As Government Relations Manager, Kaz represents Espousal Strategies clients including Craft3, Bridge Meadows, and the Community Economic Coalition. He develops legislative strategies, builds coalitions, and provides trusted guidance to clients working at the intersection of economic development, housing, behavioral health, and community investment.

Kaz previously served as Government Relations Lead on the Interstate Bridge Replacement Program, where he managed elected official engagement during a critical phase of project development. He has also held leadership roles at the Oregon Health Authority, where he served as a lobbyist and senior policy advisor, and at the City of Eugene, where he helped lead public safety reform efforts.

Originally from the United Kingdom, Kaz spent a decade in London working with elected leaders, public agencies, and community organizations to improve services for historically excluded populations. He brings a sharp political acumen, a commitment to inclusive policy development, and a deep belief in the role of government as a tool for positive change.

Kaz holds a B.A. in English Literature from the University of Cambridge and an M.S. in Political Science from the University of Oregon.
